“Life is like a camera . . . Focus on what’s important, Capture the good times, Develop from the negatives.” -- Unknown

My Dear Friends:

As we enter into our 55th season, I remember like yesterday the birth of Deep Springs Trout Club. The concept was more of a spark than a twinkle in my parents’ eyes. They were bold and innovative, looking beyond the property and visualizing further than the use of the land and water. Their idea was to create a place where people not only could come to fish in the beauty of nature but, also commune among friends, celebrate with family and enjoy a home cooked meal. The foundation of the club you enjoy today was built with dedication, hard work, sacrifice and perseverance!

Lights . . . Camera. . . ACTION! Picture This:

Your child is getting married, your grandparents are celebrating an anniversary, a family member is retiring, your sibling is expecting a baby, a cherished friend is having a milestone birthday, you want to honor and remember the life of a loved one; at Deep Springs we believe there’s only one thing more precious than time and that is who you choose to spend it on. So, whatever the occasion let us help you create a picture perfect event. If I had to identify one of the most unique aspects about Deep Springs Trout Club, I would have to proudly say: it is our ability to embrace, love, and care for every member like family!

Pictures are worth a thousand words!

As I reflect over the past years my heart and mind is flooded with so many wonderful memories. It has been our honor to help plan and orchestrate so many breathtaking and impressionable events. My team of talented and caring staff are focused on offering specialized attention, dedicated to enriching your visit, and determined to provide you with the very best experience!

Focus, Capture, Develop

Every season we focus on improving. We capture what we believe our members enjoy. And, we develop to meet those expectations! This philosophy can be seen each season with the enhancements we make to our grounds as well as our menu. Last year was extraordinary! Not only were we able to build and furnish our new outdoor living room; complete with wood burning fire place but, achieved a “win-win” when we installed our colorful aerator, water feature, for circulating and cooling the water for the trout. Every decision we make, we make with you in mind!

Please mark your calendars for Saturday, July 8th - this year’s, Summer Solstice Celebration, honoring 55 years, will be spectacular! Relax and savor the festivities with your fellow members and their guests. Bring your cameras and capture the explosion of color as we once again, light up the night sky with a breathtaking display of fireworks, synchronized to music. We focus our event on the four best “F” words ever -Family, Friends, Food and Fireworks! Check our web page for more details

Last season’s news: Mr. David Verbic caught the largest trout of the season; a rainbow trout 5lb. 2 oz. for which he will receive a fishing rod of his choice. Also, I want to extend a special thank you to everyone that joined us during our closing festivities.

In closing, it is with sadness that we share with you the loss of our very dear friends: Mrs. Jean Ellis, Mr. Richard Hullihen, Mr. Don Maynard, Mr. Robert McCalla, Mr. Harvey Oppmann, Father James Patton, Mr. Charles Ramus, Mr. Rickey Tanno, Mr. Nick Zavarella.. They will certainly be missed.

Until we meet . . . Say “cheese” . . . wear a smile, and make the moments count!

See you in the spring,

Tom Montagna
